Lee Gichan collects the doodles he has scattered across daily life—textbooks, notebooks, exam papers, memos—and transposes them onto large canvases. His painting embraces lines that are uncalculated, free from framing and honest in their spontaneity, questioning traditional authority of "well-made" painting.
