Kim Younghwan is a painter, sculptor, and installation artist based in Suwon. After an 11-year stay in Germany — culminating in a Meister degree from Braunschweig — he returned to Korea in 2000 and has since devoted himself to a singular fusion of tempera painting and pointillism that privileges chromatic harmony over formal rendering.
