An artist who creates 'flat ceramic paintings' (평면도자회화) — reviving Joseon white porcelain on large-scale clay tablets. Working in Jingdezhen, China, Lee applies over 70 layers of thin slip to hand-built ceramic panels, painting lotuses and birds with the slow discipline of a spiritual practice. The result is porcelain flattened like a pressed flower — a minimal relief that preserves the history and texture of traditional ceramics in contemporary form.
