Spectral Field

Spectral Field gathers three artists — Iris Tanaka, Lila Okonkwo, and Camille Dubois — whose practices treat the gallery as an instrument: a chamber for sound, light, and the slow weather of perception. The exhibition foregrounds installation, video, and ambient material as primary media of contemporary attention. Tanaka's sound and glass installations propose listening as a political act. Okonkwo's video and pigment prints register the embodied frequencies of diaspora and memory. Dubois's textile-and-sound environments stage intimacy across the registers of digital culture. Read together, the works in Spectral Field invite a slowing of the eye and the body — a recalibration of attention as the precondition for ethical and aesthetic encounter. The exhibition is accompanied by a publication and a programme of curatorial talks throughout its run.
