Frequencies

Frequencies brings together three artists — Lila Okonkwo, Marcus Steiner, and Camille Dubois — whose practices, while formally distinct, share a sustained attention to the medium of perception itself. Okonkwo's photographs and assemblages register the embodied histories of diaspora; Steiner's monochrome canvases test the limits of optical attention; Dubois's textile-based installations modulate intimacy across the registers of digital culture. Read together, the works in Frequencies propose a slowing of the eye and the body as a precondition for political and ethical attention.
